Day 14

Friday 30Th May 2008

This is my second to last deed mission.

My good deed for today was lighting the fireplace because the lounge was really cold and I thought it might be nice if I lit it for once.
I also kept it going until it was time for bed.
I knew i had made a difference to somebody because the lounge was nice and warm for everybody to relax in.

Day 13

Thursday 29Th May 2008

Today when I finished school me and my mum had to go somewhere after school.

It was kind of late when we got home. So instead of letting my mum getting our dinner ready (prawns,)

vacuuming and laundry. I decided to help my mum because I knew she was tired and she was doing a lot of work so I got dinner ready by getting the shells off and cutting the prawns heads off ready to be cooked.

I finished in no time at all.

My mum was thankful that i had done that for her because she hates doing that job.

Wednesday 28Th May 2008

Today for my good deed I took a good look at my rumpus room and my bedroom and saw how messy it was. So instead of waiting for my mum to come and clean it I decided to clean it myself.

It ended up to look very clean but probably only for a few days.

I knew I had helped because my mum didn't have to worry about it.

Day 11

Tuesday 27Th May 2008

Today when I finished dinner I realized that it was garbage night tonight and i had nothing else to do.
I did most of the work of putting the garbage out and my dad was just watching. I knew I had changed his life because for 1 week out of 52 weeks he didn't have to put out the garbage.

Today I also helped at Food And Fabrics. I helped by offering to my partner if i could wash the dishes. I thought it would have be easier than us having to choose who would do it so I did it.

Day 10

Monday 26Th May 2008

Today for my good deed I decided to make dinner for my parents. I decided to make some curry and I knew my parents liked curry so I thought it might be nice if i made some.

I also laid the table so my mum didn't have to worry about that too.

It tasted really nice at the end of it all. I knew that i had done a good deed because it was 1 thing less for my mum to do, and my parents also said thank you.

Day 8 & 9

Sunday 25Th May 2008

For the past 2 days I've taking part in the 40 hour famine.

I just finished now. I wanted to do the famine last year but I was too busy. Altogether i have raised $215 for the famine ( I was quite amazed. )

I found it quite easy although I had to sleep in a box on concrete. But the good thing was that i had a friend over and we were doing it together so i didn't really mind.

I now know at the end of the day what it is like to go starving... have no technology... and what its like to have a rock solid bed.

I knew i had helped someones life because i did raise atleast some money. Also just being in the situation of what its like to live life hard.

Today when i was watching TV I came across an Advert with a Dog that belonged to the Guide Dog Association. The whole Advertisement was about donating money to the Guide Dogs. I thought it might be a good thing if I did donate some money to them. So I did that.
I knew i did a good deed because I got a message back from them saying thank you and it was just kind of knowing that it was for the blind people anyway.

Thursday 22Th May 2008

Today when i came home from school I noticed that the garden was looking a bit Brown. So I stopped what i was doing, got the hose out and started to water the flowers, trees, and grass. I knew i had done a good deed because the garden hadn't been watered in ages. And also because my Mum thanked me for watering the garden.

Wednesday 21ST May 2008

Today I came home from school and my Mum wasn't feeling very well. So i asked my Mum what was wrong and she said she had a headache. Because I wanted to show my appreciation I decided to make her a cup of coffee.

As a result to this my Mum was very pleased and thanked me.

Tuesday 20Th May 2008

Today I decided to LOOK through my closet and see if there is any clothes that I could donate to the charity. I found a lot of clothing and asked my Mum if she could take me to a clothing bin near by.

I knew i had made a difference because i donated a lot of clothes i even got some of my parents clothes to donate.

Monday 19 May 2008

Today i made a difference by just showing to my mum no cheekiness, rudeness of any kind because my mum is having some hard times at the moment. I knew at the end of the day that she was happy and that i made a difference because she said "Thank you for being so nice to me today."

Today after my Dad's 40Th party the lounge was a big mess and my parents were still in bed and to tired to clean up. So to show that i could make a difference I decided to clean the place up all by myself.
I knew i had done a good job and that i had made someones life better because my Mum had a big smile on her face when she had seen what i had done.

Today I helped my parents clean the whole house because my Dad was having his 40Th Birthday party. I knew I helped to make someones life easier because they were very pleased about how fast they finished on time.
